Styrene-monomer-Chekad

Anti-styrene emission

The only reason that makes it difficult to work with unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl esters is the unpleasant smell of styrene. Continuous inhalation of this substance over time has negative effects on the health of the people who work with it, which often shows itself in the form of skin diseases, respiratory diseases such as asthma, headaches, boredom and depression. Very strict environmental laws have been enacted to prevent styrene from evaporating and spreading in the workplace in recent years, through using a substance called Styrene Emission Suppressant.

Advantages:

  • Higher level of curing .
  • Decreasing shrinkage.
  • Increasing hardness, chemical resistance and water absorption resistance of the surface due to complete curing.
  • This material does not have any negative effect on the adhesion between the laminated layers, unlike paraffin wax.
  • The evaporation of styrene will reduce by 90% with adding ST-110 to the resin.

How to use:

Shake before use and make sure it is homogeneous. Add 0.5 – 1 % of total resin’s weight while stirring (750 g per resin barrel).

Note: Strictly avoid melting this material.

Packaging:

1 Kg and 5 Kg containers.
